How I Feel About the Hot Topics of Elections

This year hot topics runners are touching on include: economy, jobs, abortion, and religion.

These topics are causing controversy around the country as tradition hits head with new age. My first topic I would like to talk about it abortion.
 Abortion:
I believe that there are two different views 1. Pro Choice 2. Anti Choice
I do believe that babies are alive at this age and abortions are killing an individual. I believe that people should be able to choose if they give birth to a child. Yes there are materialistic people that are consumed with their jobs and a baby would cramp their style. I also see another side where young women around the world may not live in safe environments and rape might be a issue as well as no sexual education or safety put into place. So then we question whether a young innocent girl should have to be forced to have no options. That she should have the baby when she is unprepared with no money to raise it. Our economy has hit our debt ceiling therefore is it sustainable to force young mothers that may have dreams of going to college, yet their dreams were crushed by nightmares to have a child?  I believe that everyone should have a choice. If you believe in Christianity most are pro choice as in never kill a baby, but are they anti death penalty or war? If the verse says thou shall not kill then no killing should occur. Yet I think in our world as it is today, with so many people going hungry around the world, how silly is it to force women to have babies when they know they can not feed them and care for them. That these children would have to live with being in foster homes or adopted when so many are needing adoption right now. Why not decide against forcing this upon their children and make a smart decision? In this View episode, explores the ideas of what happens when people are allowed to choose whether they know they can support the baby or not.

Why Vegan?

Perfect idea of caring!

VegOut or Not...

Welcome to my blog guys!

Over the past semester, I was enrolled in a class called 'Representing Animals.' This class dealt with issues such as the humane treatment of animals, whether we should eat animals, and a project on the sustainability of animals. As I read Jonathon Safron Foer's novel "Eating Animals" I fought with the true reality of eating animals.
Issues included:
1. Fossil Fuels needed to process meat, package, and ship.
2. Was it more efficient to grow wheat to feed animals then humans or just directly feed humans?
3. Do we know what goes on inside of intensive factory farming slaughterhouses?
4. Are we correctly told what goes into our meat? What are we really putting into our bodies?
5. Vote with your dollar!
These issues brought to my attention the immediate need for buyers to vote with their dollar somewhere besides the meat isle.
"Chickens once had a life expectancy of fifteen to twenty years, but the modern broiler is typically killed at around six weeks. Their daily growth rate has increased roughly 400 percent."-Foer
